President of Nepal : Facts & Information about Head of Country Nepal

President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal is the head of state of Nepal. The position of President and the office of president was created after the Nepal was declared a republic nation in May 2008.

President works as the head of state in Nepal at present. President is the person who holds the highest post of the country. King could work as the head of state in Nepal before 2065 BS. Nepalese people started the Mass Movement against the monarchy from 24 th Chaitra 2062 to 11 th Baisakh 2063 BS which ended the rule of the king from Nepal. This incident is called People’s Movement-ll. All the powers of the king have confiscated on 4 th Jestha 2063 BS. Nepal was declared as the republic country on 15 th Jestha 2065 BS. Now, any common Nepali citizen can be the president through the election. Dr. Rambaran Yadav is the first president of Nepal. In 2006, the rule of a king or shah dynasty was abolished.

As we know that Bhimsen Thapa is regarded as the first Prime Minister of Nepal. B. P. Koirala is the first elected Prime Minister of Nepal whereas Pushpa Kamal Dahal is the first elected Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal.

Head of State and Head of Government are institutions rather than a person. They are our elected representatives. All the citizen of the country should respect them. We should help them in their good works. At the same time, we should criticise and warn them for their mistakes. They are elected for a certain period of time. If they do not work for the welfare of the people and country, we can choose the other people as the head of state and head of government for another term.

Dr. Ram Baran Yadav is the first president of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal. Ram Baran Yadav was born on February 4, 1948, in a rural area at Sapahi Village Development Committee (VDC), Ward No. 9, Dhanusa district, Nepal.
